harpazo_hope
Hello... Popping in again for a second. I don't have the time to keep active. Sorry! I just came across a message in one of my email groups about white spots on the fingernails meaning there's a zinc deficiency. I think I knew this but just forgot. So that had me looking into zinc and copper balances because my son has these white spots. I came across some interesting stuff in my reading. Someone had posted that your body raises copper levels in response to infections. I wonder if that is why TS is linked to different infections and high copper levels. Another thing I skimmed through suggested excess copper could have something to do with sulfite sensitivity. Interesting for those of you who deal with sulfite sensitivities. I also came across some opinions on copper toxicity actually being a copper deficiency, so I decided not to supplement with zinc or molybdenum. I'm just going to keep track of my son's diet on fit day and see what kind of zinc/copper ratio he is eating before I make any decisions. I don't know if I will be able to get him tested. And, for a quick update... my son's tics now include words and sentences. Is there a name for this kind of tic? It really freaked me out at first...and I guess it still does. He's being a parrot in the other room as I type. Hoping the best for all of you! Jasmin
