emilyt
My 6 year old is on the autism spectrum, and my 7 year old was just diagnosed with PANDAS (manifested by ADHD and tics). Haven't talked to anyone locally that's ever heard of PANDAS, much less found anyone with 2 somewhat similarly affected kids. It looks like we have a long road ahead of us dealing with the strep treatments long term after reading everyone's posts here. Any advice, input? Thanks, Emily
CSP
emilyt, Welcome! Are your kids boys, girls, or one of each? My husband had TS as a child, and his brother had restless leg. Husband has no sisters. My son has Ts, oldest daughter is fine, youngest daughter seems fine, most of the time, but sometimes does things to scare me. I don't know if it is me watching her to closly or what. I wish you a lot of luck C.P.

The youngest turns 6 today and he was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (autism spectrum disorder) when he was 3, and my oldest is 7 and was diagnosed with PANDAS this week. Did your husband "outgrow" TS? I'm new to all of this and just learning. Emily
CSP
Hi emilyt, Yes my husband did out grow TS. It is odd he only has a vocal tic, but does not tic that much. He just calls me "LOVE" between his sentences. He calls our son "BUDDY" Otherwise he makes no vocals. He did have a head shaking and sniffing tic when he was a child. Those are all gone. Strange how boys seem to have more of these problems. God Bless C.P.
kkver
Yes it seems to be in boys more then girls. Somewhere in the research it it was mentioned the % of boys is greater to who have TS/pandas in comparision to girls.
