Guest mary
Several years ago we got new furniture and I thought it gave off a terrible odor (no one else really smelled it) and I had chronic headaches. The salesperson thought it might be due to the Scotchguard so they took it back and brought in furniture that hadn't been treated. I still had headaches and was bothered by the smell. We finally determined that it was probably because formeldehyde (SP???) is sometimes used to set dyes in fabric. We returned the furniture and bought a different brand. All was well with the new stuff. It was interesting to read all of the things that contain formeldehyde. There are many items that bother me that were on the list! marina
Reading this thread its just clicked that my son's tics getting worse may be due to the new Roman Blinds we had installed in each of the kids rooms about 10 days ago. I've checked the calender and the dates coincide. They had a slight smell initially, but that went when the rooms were aired and I gave it no further thought. Unfortunately there is no information on the product sheet. Ironically we brought them because the old ones had some mildew, and being flat these collect less dust.
