Our Pediatrician suggested Allegra for allergies because he said it does not cross BBB. So crazy side effects shouldn't happen. Has anyone had this experience? Thank you. awilliams74 Posted April 16, 2015 Report Share Posted April 16, 2015 Allegra and Claritin did not do much for DS's allergies, zyrtec worked well for several years. His allergist added singulair 5 mg to his zyrtec 10 mg when his allergies started to break through, and it has worked very well to control his allergies (she said alone singulair didn't seem to do much, but when given with zyrtec it works well and we have found that to be true).
