trintiybella
Hi Everyone. Can you believe my daughter asked to do some kind of school work!!! I am not sure she is able to, but at least it's a good sign. Online schooling is all she will try. Do you know of a program online that has a live person instructor (not face to face,-just voice) that will work with the child? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! jan251
Try this thread and the website's forums generally. There are many factors that might play a role in the on-line schooling situation one might choose (single subject? what grade level/level of ability? etc.)

trintiybella
At this point...unfortunately she still isn't able to learn. She said when someone talks..she doesn't understand a thing they say. It has been this way since pre-school. I guess with so many bombarding thoughts and severe OCD, anyone would struggle to learn. Anyway...I may have to concentrate on some kind of life skills class, so she can learn how to take care of the little things in life for now. I will google it. Thanks for the help! Mayzoo
We are using a Samsung Galaxy 3 tab for kids (roughly 200.00). I have downloaded all kinds of school stuff on it, most free. What we are using a lot right now is MobyMax. It is a k-8 program that is free for homeschooling parents. It is a bit difficult to set up and get going (parent job) but once set up, it seems pretty good so far (my kiddo is delayed and learns uniquely). It can be loaded on Apple products as well. We use it on an android. If you have either tablet already, you can load it from google play or itunes, and here is some info on it: http://www.mobymax.com/ If you do not have a tablet, MobyMax offers a basic one with the program loaded on it (you can load others too) for 69.00: http://www.mobymax.com/Tablet It is a fairly cheap way to explore and see if she can learn from a tablet (if you do not already know). If you have any questions you think I can help with, let me know. I also recently received a tablet that is now selling for 69.00 that has higher stats than the mobymax tablet. It is an 8gb 1.5 dual processor Click n kids tablet from Walmart. Since kiddo has the Samsung, I am using the click n kids under the adult funtcions, and it working out pretty well for me. momslove
Sorry I don't remember if I've read previous posts about your schooling. I'm guessing you homeschool. Just a thought...some places are opening doors between homeschool and public school. There may be options for some homebound instruction that would then give you access to materials that could be tried at home. ???
trintiybella
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I always make the mistake of thinking she is ready for some kind of learning. She is just too sick. The poor thing can hardly brush her teeth and get dressed due to severe confusion and OCD. I just keep getting ahead of myself...
