aj104
As I have posted before, my daughter began with motor tics at the end of February. It seemed that the worst of them were the first 2 weeks. Since then, they have been very mild, only some facial grimacing, shoulder shrugs, and the like. Her presenting tics, the eye rolling, and mouth opening have gone away. I have noticed on a few occasions that she get the hiccups. Mainly, they only last a few minutes and they do not happen daily. This morning, she was hiccuping again, lasted for a few minutes and then gone. Since this has now happen 3-4 times since her onset of tics, I am wondering if this is a vocal tic?? If it is, then I guess any chance of her condition being transient is diminished? Also, is there any opinion on how girls progress with TS vs. boys. I have read the accounts of boys having TS much more than girls, but am uncertain on how tics may differ from boys and girls. Looking forward to your thoughts.
