Nicoledorman1 Posted April 23, 2014 Report Posted April 23, 2014 So my daughter has been very sick lately and they have checked her immune system and the checked her strep pnemunia igg antibodies and she was below half on all her levels. She has had all her shots as stated by her doctor but we see the specialist on May 16th .. Just wondering if anyone knows what this could mean?
pr40 Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 perhaps if you post actual numbers, it will be easier to respond.
Hopeny Posted April 25, 2014 Report Posted April 25, 2014 The strep pneumo titers show if your daughter has mounted an immune response to her vaccines. The more low titers you have the more succeptible to strep , meningitis etc. my DD had only 3 of 14 at immune levels. She had a prevnar vaccine and mounted an appropriate immune response which was a good sign her immune system is working properly.
