cobygurl
Help...I think I may be dealing with the chicken pox (maybe)? I am seeing flat, red spots on DS 5 back. Only a few on the shoulder blade, lower back and side but I do think it's funny that they are in different places versus in one area. Does that sound like the start of chicken pox? How did your children react? Did they have exacerbations? TIA!

Chicken pox usually occur on warm parts of body first- axilla, inner thighs etc, however, they usually do pop out randomly on different parts. Not all in one spot. They are not usually flat--usually have a small papular rise to them. The best description is a "dewdrop on a rose leaf." Get moist then crusty over course of time/illness. Teardrop shaped. HTH.
