Psychiatric drugs with bartonella treatment?

Is it common to need several psych drugs to get through bartonella treatment with antibiotics???
The antibiotics help with massive insomnia but they make her super confused. Confusion is one of her other major symptoms but its much worse with antibiotics. Psychiatrists suggests topomax. Really need advice. Can you tell me what psych. drugs you have used?
