Vitamin E

Recommended Posts

Based on my son's lab work, he is deficient in the antioxidant vitamins (A,C, E) so our physician recommended we supplement with vitamin E. I waited until we got back from our trip to NY before I started this.

I got a vitmain E cream since he is already taking NAC, GSE, Probiotic, methyl B complex and cod liver oil already. The poor kid is 5 and all these supps are hard to get into him.

Anyway, I rubbed 1ml of the cream on his belly at night and the next day his tics were worse. The physician told me to stop and wait 2 weeks and start again.

Has anyone experienced this before? Can vitamin E cause an increase in tics? It seems that everytime I give him something new his tics increase. He is very very senstitive to almost everything it seems.

It makes it frustrating when adding in new supps.

I am also thinking of changing the anti fungal after we are on the GSE for 5 weeks. I ordered Candida Clear and I hope to be able to kill even more yeast than we already are. How many weeks should we be on the antifungal for?

I plan on doing a stool/blood test soon to see if we are actually killing the yeast and what strains are present in his body still. We really have seen improvement in his tics since being on the GSE but since we got back from NY and I gave him that vita min E cream, things have picked up a bit.

His diet is consistent and we have been very good about limiting all sugar, gluten and as much corn as we can. He is off milk too but still gets yogurt and cheese.

In total we have been treating holistically since the beginning of May so about 3 months now. Do I just need to give it more time and be patient?

sorry for all these questions in one post!
