trintiybella
Sometimes it is exhausting repeating myself over and over about my child's condition, and explaining why screaming back at her when she is really psychotic does not help. I know this is not a venting board, and was wondering if we should start a group just for venting??? It is tough sometimes doing this alone and nobody understanding what we are going through. It's ok to get mad and vent, right?
LindaMW
I completely understand where you are coming from. This has been an ongoing battle in our family also. Trying to explain this when they only see one side of it, it is so frustrating. I hope you can find some support. I know other families on here have dealt with the same situation. If you need to vent send me a message any time, I GET IT. Good luck
Hrosenkrantz
Forget about family members, what about professionals and doctors who don't get it? I had a pyschologist tell me this week our son has his rages because " he obviously gets something from it" and we have to implement a four step behaviour management program that involves...i forgot what the four steps were, because when I tried to tell my husband, he said the only thing he wants to implement is a stronger dosage of medicine... Mayzoo
Most the people I have spoken with who do not have special needs or chronically ill kiddos are under the impression that those conditions brings extended families together more......................boy are they wrong!!!!
