Need suggestions for omega 3

Does anyone use an omega 3? Does it help? Do you recommend any specific brand? I have an almost 8 year old weighing 70 lbs.

I use the oil from omega cure: http://www.omega3innovations.com/, It has no taste or scent. We tried the cookies and chocolates, but kids all thought they taste gross so we are back to mixing the oil into yogurt!

If she can swallow capsules, my DS takes Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega. Before he could swallow pills, he took Coromega squeezers. He loved the lemon lime flavor. I prefer a good brand of omega 3 so you lessen the chances of mercury,etc....in the fish oil.

Yes he can swallow pills odor or after flavor (ie fishy burps) would be a big problem due to sensory issues.

 

What is the dosage your kiddos take?

I use Barleans omega swirl. It looks and tastes like a smoothie. Not fishy at all. My kids drink it straight up. The different flavors have different combinations of Omega 3, 6 & 9 except the Key Lime is only Omega 3.

Nordic Naturals has a lemon base but its a capsule and you cannot taste it. No burps. My son and I both take two capsules a day. That's 1000mg. It's got 500 mg of EPA, which Dr K recommended.

If there is a trader joe's near you, they have an odorless omega 3 supplement that is also completely flavorless.
