Enhansa

I started dd9 on Enhansa on Friday. Over the weekend she felt nauseous and yesterday developed a low grade fever. Is this typical? She also takes Augmentin Biaxin and is on a steroid taper. Her anxiety/OCD has been greatly escalated. I am sure you are familiar with what's going on here. BUT yesterday she crossed the street and played with her friends all afternoon!!! Without me!!!! First time since September! It could be the Enhansa? Steroid? Combo??

I'm not sure I would have started Enhansa while on a steroid taper...

My understanding is the steroids 'shut down' the immune system,

and Enhansa can produce viral and/or yeast die off in some folks (did in this house)

That would explain why she feels so horrible.

If you go to the lee silsby website on enhansa there is a section on die off/ herx- to definitely expect it. What dose did you start on?

150mg with Breakfast. It is supposed to be for 5 days then go up to 2xday

I would see how things are going on day 5 and maybe hold off if you are still seeing herx. Maybe stay on low dose for two weeks. I think I kept at 150 for a month.
