Mleonard7887
Hi everyoneI I have recently (within the past year or two) devolved a sometimes involuntary twitch were my head jerks to the right. Almost like I'm trying to pop my neck, but in sortive violent manner, Sometimes I don't know when it's going to happen, other times I can tell when it's coming and almost have an urge and feel better if I do the twitch. But it's not consistent, it normally doesn't happen when I'm at work, mostly when I'm driving or at home watching tv. My roommate has been jokingly teasing me saying i have Tourette's... And I didn't think anything of it at first, but now that I an sensitive to it sometimes it happens quite frequently. Could this be Tourette's? I'm 25, and I never had any symptoms as a child? I was diagnosed ADHD a a child, but have sense calmed down quite a bit. It seems there could be a link? Or am I mistaken? Thanks in advance for any help Matt
StillHopeful
Hi - From my understanding Tourette Syndrome usually occurs before the age of 18. It may be a tic or a muscle spasm. If I were you I would see a neurologist and have it checked out. Also try to eat healthy food and avoid alcohol and food/drinks that are caffeinated like soda, coffee, tea, chocolate and energy drinks. For more info on TS you can check out the TSA.org page. Good luck!
