Need to ask a about doc(s) in NC

Hi,

 

I am adult and looking for a Lyme doctor in NC. Dr Jemsek's office in DC gave me a link to ilads.org to ask for a list and am waiting on that. I am in the Western part of NC - Asheville is not too far. I would prefer one that is close but would not mind traveling a bit within the state (perhaps out to around Raleigh/Durham area). If it was truly necessary, maybe a bit further, but would really hope that would not be the case.

 

I had a doctor I saw at hospital suggest Dr. Biddle in Asheville (http://www.docbiddle.com/), but it is very difficult to ascertain reputation/credibility and his first available appointment is not till March. Other docs via lymenet.org are either no longer in practice or seem a bit sketchy. Of course, would like to see one as soon as possible.

 

After 11 docs and a host of symptoms, looks like may be Lyme from associated Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever I had about 4 years ago.

 

I found this forum based on search and finding this post (http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=11803), though does not give and info or outcome.

I see an MD in Chapel Hill. She has Lyme and was on disability for two years, before she was well enough to return to practice. Please send me a private e-mail if you want her name.
