peglem
The household is going through the stomach flu. Allie just got it-not me so far, but every other day another one bites the dust, so probably my turn next. Anyway, Allie is actually running a fever...sort of. She gets very feverish, then throws up and the fever completely subsides. Then she heats up again-cycle continues. Is that normal with stomach flu? She so seldom gets an actual immune reaction, I don't know.
Kathy4Him
So very sorry! It went thru our home a month ago but our DS 23 did not get it which dr thought was amazing. But we had vomiting and diarrhea for about 4 days with extreme fatigue which lasted about 10 days, also bit of brain fog. Praying for quick healing! I see your daughter is currently non verbal, I am so sad for you because our son is also. So hard. He did not speak for 14 mths but in the last week has spoken twice. peglem
Well w/ the 4 other people who've had it so far, the vomiting and diarrhea have only lasted about 24 hours, and, frankly, a little Allie fatigue would be a nice little vacation for me! Allie communicates pretty well with people who know her. I've become pretty accepting of her not speaking. Its been about 10 years.
peglem
Well, Allie's stomach flu lasted @ 24 hours. And since getting over it, she's not having headaches anymore. Hmmm. She took no medicine, except thyroid med because I was afraid it would make her throw up again. So she was off abx and propranolol for 2 days. She seems to be feeling better than she has in a LONG time.

nicklemama
My DS has had the stomach flu twice since PANDAS started. The latest was the second week of Oct. He never seems to flare up w/ stomach viruses. He is 10 days post pneumonia dx and he's having a terrible time. Last night was the worst I've seen him in nearly two years.
