How old is your son? I can't remember if it was for my daughter or son, but when one of them had blood drawn recently our pediatrican added lipids because it's something that they would look at during their well child visit that year and rather than ordering another draw later(my kids were 4 and 5 at the time.) It was just lipids, so maybe your ped did the same thing.
