Hello everyone,

We do not have a diagnosis for my daughter, age 4, yet. But I think it may be PANS. We go to see Dr. B for the first time in less than 2 weeks.

Her symptoms were recent onset starting October 18th. Strarted off with mouth tics and saying bad words in her head. Then went to having the desire to scratch objects. Then hyperacyivity. Now she is really defiant and super emotional. I hardly recognize her as my child at some times. But there are times when she acts like her old self. The biggest things we see in her now are these behaviors:

She always thinks she does things when she doesn't. For instance, her little brother falls. She thinks she pushes him.

She occasionally whispering "sorry". When we ask why, she said she eats us or bites us. Or cuts us. She has bad thoughts where she wants people to bleed or wants to kill people. We have been reading what to do when your brain gets stuck. I think she realizes they are thoughts and not things that she would do.

And at the drop of a hat she will break down in tear. All morning she didn't want me to look at her. She only wanted my husband to be near her.

So far her EEG was normal, her MRI is normal, her spinal fluid is ok so far. We are still waiting on some results of the spinal fluid from the Mayo clinic.

She did have a spinal headache after the procedure. I was giving her children's Advil for if and she seemed a little bit better when she was on the advil.

So, like I said, I'm not sure if this is PANS. If it is not, I have no idea what it is.

We live in MA. I Think there are a lot here from MA. Does anyone know of a child CBT who may be taking new.patients? I'd love for someone.e to help us and her with these intrusive thoughts. Poor kid shouldn't have to be thinking of these awful thoughts that she has...

Thanks for any input.
