Wickedmaineah Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 So in the midst of everything that is going on with our DS right now, hubby's company is talking about transferring him back to South Carolina. Looks like down near the Charleston area again. Does anyone know of any doctor's in SC that treat PANDAS?
beeskneesmommy Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Yes, there is one from Winston Salem and one in Ashville. We are in the Raleigh area of NC and we travel to Philly and CT. If you do not have to be seen more than every few months, perhaps you could utilize Dr. Murphy in FL? Not that bad of a drive, all considered...I have recently discovered a pediatrician in the Raleigh area who has a son with PANDAS. MomWithOCDSon Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 A coworker of my sister's had her son treated for PANDAS somewhere in the vicinity of Columbia, SC; that's about a two-hour drive from Charleston. I'll contact her and see if she can get a line on who might have handled the treatment.
lovemyboyz Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 Hi. The doctor in Columbia is much closer, but if he doesn't work out, we see Dr. Jean Corbier in north Charlotte, NC. He is very knowledgeable about PANDAS and has treated many cases. It may be a two-month wait to get in to see him, but once you are an established patient, he is great about responding to questions on the phone as well as adding/changing prescriptions without having to wait for your next visit. In addition, Dr. Alan Lieberman in Charleston, SC, was the doctor that discovered PANDAS in my 6-year-old DS. Dr. Lieberman used to be a pediatrician, but is now an immunologist. Dr. Corbier's phone is 704-403-2660 Dr. Lieberman's website it http://coem.com/ Here's wishing you a smooth transition to SC!

I tried on my phone, but it comes in all blurry.
