dut Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Hi - thought this was interesting http://www.healthiertalk.com/hidden-causes-your-chronic-cough-1350 I was looking for info on why B12 is activating (I read it increases histamine but still don't really understand it so if someone can explain it to me again that would be great) and came across this article. I haven't cross checked it but thought it was interesting....
sf_mom Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 I read something interesting regarding methyl B-12. Those that have a bad reaction to methyl B-12 typically have impaired Sulfur Metabolism and glutathione. Sulfhydryl (thiol) and glutathione are involved in detoxifying hazardous molecules, as well as maintaining the redox balance of living cells. The glutathione detoxing aspect has already been discussed in prior posts but I did not realize the bad reaction to methyl B-12 was related to Sulfur Metabolism. Apparently these types of individuals can be difficult to treat for chronic infection and don't do well on a lot of remedies. In this case, opening detox pathways is critical for improvement. My son suffers from a chronic cough but it is related to his co-infection of Babesia and is resolving with proper treatment.
SSS Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 My daughter has horrible reactions to MB-12 and HB-12- We are supplementing with liquid oral liposomal glutathione - I give it every other day, and I do see 'die off' reactions after she gets it- Not crazy, not too long, but it is there. She also has detox issues in other areas.
