Guest
Hi Everyone, I'm considering getting my wisdom teeth out after the first of the year because they've started bothering me. I've never had any surgery done before and I think the anesthesia scares me more than the surgery itself. I have a lot of sensitivities. I'm afraid I'll have a bad reaction and don't plan on having anesthesia used. I really don't want to use laughing gas or to be sedated either. The shots I can deal with. Does anybody have any suggestions? Carolyn
Guest
Never mind about that. If I get them removed I'm going to go with a natural dentist and when I called and asked them if their willing to do it with only the numbing shots and no general anesthesia, laughing gas, or sedation. They said they just do the numbing shots and they don't even have general anesthesia, laughing gas, or an iv in their office. That made me feel a lot better. Carolyn Hi Carolyn, I'm glad you found out by calling the dentist. I actually had one widsom tooth removed on November 8th and I was given a topical gel to numb my gums for the needle and I didn't even feel the needle go in. He gave me two shots of numbing stuff and then got to work! I felt pressure and felt the roots ripping out of my gums (kinda gross) but there was NO PAIN INVOLVED DURING OR AFTER THE PROCEDURE. I need to have my other wisdom teeth removed but am in no financial situation to have that done as my last one cost me $103.00 out of pocket and I'm on SSI.
