momcap Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Here's something the LLMD said that really made a lot of sense to me: Strep divides every 20 mins, so during a regular 10 day course of amoxicillin there are 720 killing opportunities. Borellia divides every 1-2 days, so to get the same 720 killing opportunities it takes 2-4 years. And that doesn't even take into account its abilities to evade the immune system (cysts, biofilms, cloaking, rearranging proteins, etc).

Makes sense what your LLMD said! Let's keep attacking and get these bugs! Susan
