PEX during Lyme treatment

So reading the recent post on Lyme, Strep, or Both, I am wondering... Is it worth pursuing PEX in the middle of Lyme treatment??? DS has been on Lyme treatment for 7 months, he is better (no more joint pains, no headaches), so I think the Lyme itself is under control, but we still have to work through co-infections. His PANDAS is still very much there, and he is still reacting to exposure. Would it be worth doing PEX right now? One of the things that has kept us from going forward with plasmapheresis in the past is our family situation... We keep getting strep, we've tried everything, seen different docs, we think we having under control, and then BAHM! strep again. I suppose it is just the way it is, it's everywhere, but we cannot seem to go longer than a couple of months without someone getting it... Just thinking aloud here...
