ShaesMom Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) IgeneX results are: IGM 41 + 58 + IGG 41 IND 58 + 83-93 IND Not as strong as mine but still a positive according to LLMD. No way of knowing what effect monthly IVIG had on these results. OR if we are even lucky that it registered anything considering her Immune Deficieny Disease diagnosis. Her CD57 was 19 & HHV6 6.81 SO....it looks like we are both jumping on this Lyme rollercoaster with the rest of you. Thanks again Suzan!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited May 16, 2011 by ShaesMom
Suzan Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 I am so glad you guys got tested! I really hope that treatment will help her EE quickly. When do you see the LLMD again? You are doing to a new one in June right? I always say you don't want to have lyme but if you do you really want to know about it so in that way I'm glad for you guys. Susan
sf_mom Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Your daughter results are no surprise.... and suspect she'll convert more positive as you pursue treatment and she is doing better and 'producing' more antibodies. I am excited to follow her recovery. I just wanted to let you know that my girlfriend is diagnosed with Babesia and along with the herx she got Laryngitis 'like' symptoms. So tons of inflammation and an inability to talk. It was so bad she had to temporarily suspend treatment. It is very interesting how much of this stuff is all interconnected. I am going to have faith that your DDs EE is somehow connected to chronic infection. Wishing you all the best as you move forward with treatment. -Wendy
ShaesMom Posted May 17, 2011 Author Report Posted May 17, 2011 We see Pixiesmommy's LLMD on June 21st. I just finished reading "Cure Unknown" and the author had at least three statements referring to her choking & swallowing difficulties. Two VERY common symptoms in EE. I shared my thoughts of a connection between the two with a local Mom who has EE along with her three children. Turns out she was bitten by a tick in 6th grade and developed a bulls eye rash but the Military Doc she saw told her Mom that there wasn't any Lyme in the Midwest. So she is now pursuing possible Lyme as well. I will be interested to see what happens with their family.
Suzan Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 When I was 17 or 18, I went through a period of time where the food would start down my throat before I was ready. It was like I didn't have control of my swallow reflex. It was a very upsetting time especially since no one took me seriously. I wonder if that is related? Shaesmom, that's the best part of all this, besides getting well, is helping others find the connection so they can get help too. Susan
KeithandElizabeth Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 I am just so happy that you are uncovering these infections and I feel that once you get rid of ALL of the infections and give Shae a chance to heal afterwards, you will see such a remarkable difference! Elizabeth
