Anyone changed insurance to get IVIG covered

I was wondering if anyone has changed insurance companies in order to get IVIG or PEX covered for their child. If you did, were they OK about a pre-existing condition, or did you have to wait a few months. And were you able to change insurance companies just for your child, and keep you and the rest of your family on your current policy?

I think that with the recent health care bill, insurance companies cannot deny coverage for children with pre-existing conditions. Adults, well, that's a different story.

Yes, we switched from BCBS, which would not cover IVIg, to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, which does cover it. In MA we have no pre-existing conditions for either children or adults so this was not an issue. So glad we switched!
