eljomom Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 I just looked in my two younger girls throats after my dd9 had some horrid breath. Both of them have what looks like just a little bit of white in some of the "creases" of the tonsils. Not "coating" in any way....just a little tiny bit of white in a couple of places. Any idea what this is? Almost like it could be a tiny bit of yeast?
thereishope Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 If the white was only one spot, I'd say it could be food. But if there's white in multiple places, even if just in the creases and not bumps of white, I'd would go for a strep test. Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear. Now, it could be a virus or sinus infection draining down the throat causing the white as well. Best to get it checked out.
Worried_Dad Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Could be tonsilloliths - our PANDAS ds had that. http://www.webmd.com/oral-health/tonsil-stones-tonsilloliths-treatment-and-prevention
