I am going to call the LLMD and see if we are someone she wants to see. My son's results:

IgM - **31 +

**41 IND

IgG - **41 +

Is the band 31 indicative of Lyme only?

Lismom,

Sorry, I am not familiar w/ your situation. I have a hard time remembering everyone's story. Was your child dx'd w/ PANDAS? Just wondering b/c last week when my two kids PANDAS/Lymes finally got into see Dr. Jones, he said that Lyme bands 31 and 34 are not only indicative of Lyme but also trigger an autoimmune response and thinks that where PANDAS can play a role w/ Lyme. He was telling us how he wouldn't be surprised if certain neg. and IND bands flipped to a pos on the latest lab results. I personally would definitely seek out a good LLMD. Might make all the difference in recovery. I wish I had gone directly to an LLMD from the get go when this PANDAS mess started. I believe our 2 LLMDs would have set my kids onto a much faster road to recovery rather than be stuck in limbo w/o a good mix of meds to get the healing process started. I believe even if Lyme wasn't in the mix, they would have led us in a better direction. A good doctor savvy in Lyme can decipher if Lyme bacteria could be playing a role but also look at many other things. I feel that tunnel vision hurt us for months but just glad we redirected our path. Good luck! :)

Yes on the PANDAS. That is where we started 2 years ago. Strep was the only thing I had to go on. Well I guess I'll know more tommorrow. The Dr. we have an appt with had lyme herself and has worked with Dr. J for several months. I do have an appt with Dr. J as well in April. I would prefer going to him but he's twice as far and twice as expensive.

I agree with everything posted... keep the appointment. Many of the test results will convert once further into treatment. Plus you still need to check for co-infections. Sometimes the co-infection take predominance and those will be positive and Lyme IND.

Couple of Examples:

Friend's son: IND Lyme but positive for Bartonella/Ehrlichiosis.

My younger son is IND Lyme but positive for Babesia/Bartonella.

Older son serologically negative for everything but positive via PCR Urine testing for Lyme.

Younger daughter serologically negative for everything, we have not done provocation with her yet, we are treating based on clinical diagnoses/treatment response, other lab results similar to her twin brother who is positive. We are currently retesting for Babesia hoping the results are converting for her.
