smartyjones Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 was it you, peglem, who has suggested a type of therapy that goes back to a point when skills "should have" been learned to pick them up if they were not learned due to illness or other issues? do you suggest using this when you discover skills are lacking or when you feel the other issues, i.e. health, are at a resolved point? thanks.

RDI, Relationship Development Intervention is a program that works on developing missed development- not skills, per se, but social, emotional, development that underlies the ability to learn from others- focuses on adapting to the dynamic nature of life and relationships. You'll see no scripting of social exchanges here- website: http://www.rdiconnect.com/ I think it will be most effective, like anything else, when health issues are largely resolved, but have also seen progress with it in "the thick" of PANDAS.
