kimballot---great explanation ... again. Sorry I keep asking the same questions...I seriously think I have some memory issues going on:(

Didn't Dr. Cunningham just hire a B cell researcher? Very interesting.

What dose of Quercetin do you give a 45 pound kid? Also, is this better than Curcumin??

Thank you, thank you.

Yes, I agree, checking for underlying infections seems to be our next step, although in the meanwhile, I'm not sure what to do about our back-slide...

It will be interesting to hear next week the varying Dr.'s opinions.

Thanks again everyone for weighing in---

Hi - regarding your backsliding while you wait for your appointment next week - I don't know if you use anti inflammatories, but they can help if it is a PANDAS reaction. Quercetin and fish oil are good for long-term use, and many people use ibuprofen for short-term relief. I am sure Scott Smith and your Dan! doc will have lots of ideas about ways to reduce inflammation.

Yes - she did hire a B-cell immunology researcher.... and the Pepsi Refresh grant helped to provide start up funds, so this is a really big deal!!

My son is well over 45 pounds, and I am not an expert in all the supplements that are available. I believe I learned about quercetin from MomwithOCDson, who is really up to speed with these things. I may have heard about it from Stephanie 2 as well. Perhaps others could help you with dosages and the difference between quercetin and curcumin. I remember that I had originally chosen quercetin because it seemed pretty safe and it is also considered a natural antihistimine - and my son has lots of issues with allergies.
