Can you please tell me the brand, dosage and ingredients of the probiotic that you all give your kids?

The one that I have contains Sachharomyces boulardii and lactose as the ingredients.. Any information or suggestions on these ingredients is appreciated..

I am yet to start this even though my son is already on the antibiotic course and would do so on getting your suggestions.

Hi efgh,

 

My son is on HMF Capsules, Genestra Brand.

Each capsule has L. acidophilus (two strains) 1.5 billion CFU*

Bifidobacterium bifidium 0.25 billion CFU*

Bifidobacterium lactis 0.25 billion CFU*

 

* may contain up to 3 billion CFU's

 

Recommended dose - one capsule daily with each meal or as recommended by medical practitioner

contains no added colour, sugar, starch, salt, preservatives, artificial colours, flavours, or additives; or any corn, wheat, gluten, yeast, soy, dairy or animal by-products.

 

My son takes 2 capsules - one with lunch and one with dinner, he gets his antibiotic at breakfast. You have to wait 2 hours between giving the antibiotic and the probiotic.

 

We started with one probiotic for a few weeks then increased to two. He had been on full dose antibiotic from August to December with no probiotic.

 

The one I have is capsule form but I initially bought a powder form although he would not take it with his juice.
