mommy007
Hi, I was hoping for any suggestions. My son's foot tapping has increased, it usually does during the winter months. He is also tearing up his work papers, little edges etc. It's noticed at home as well at school. The teachers are great. My son has PANDAS. The teacher is trying to figure out what to do to make it less destractive in school. It drives us nuts at home. Any suggestions about what might be helpful in school? Claire
If his exercise and outdoor activity is down during winter months, then try to increase those. Also, if winter weather means more indoor TV/computer/gameboy play, you might try to keep those at past levels and see if that helps. Finally, winter may mean less Vitamin D (less sunlight), which can impact calcium absorption. I guess I might suggest tapping in the air (toe not touching the floor) if the noise is a disturbance. I supposed a rubber pad under the desk might look odd. Claire
Guest Guest_mommy007
Clair, You may be right!! My son has been taking a "sports" multi-vitamin for the last 7 months. It ran out about 3 weeks ago. I have not been able to find the same brand. Perhaps the lack of them in his system is the cause? I'm going out today and getting a new multi-vitamin - surely the lack of it may be the cause. His foot tapping has only increased in the last few weeks! Thanks for making me think!
