KeithandElizabeth Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Yes, mycoplasma was a big issue for us and there have been some great articles posted on this forum or the PANDAS forum about how a recurrent mycoplasma infection may not create a rise in IGM. I will try to find the article later and repost it. elizabeth
NancyD Posted October 16, 2010 Author Report Posted October 16, 2010 Thanks Elizabeth. I appreciate that! KeithandElizabeth Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Nancy: The first article mentions that sometimes the mycoplasma IGM does not rise with recurrent infections. It says you usually see this in adults because they are the one getting a recurrent infection. The second article discusses possible autoimmune reactions to mycoplasma.
