justinekno Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 SF Mom - I just received this book in the mail. I took a glance at it and am impressed by the larger print than most books! Hope that is a sign of good things to come from reading the book!
sf_mom Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 It is a lot of information but its also nice to confirm there is a certain theme of treatment that is showing consistent. I look forward to comparing notes. -Wendy

I look forward to comparing notes. -Wendy I just checked out two books out of the library. 1) Healing Lyme: fascinating explanation of how Borrelia can adapt and survive, and why treatment is so hard. 2) Top ten Lyme Disease Treatments: haven't finished this one, but so far seems very interesting and balanced in presenting the pros and cons of each approach. I'll put "Insights into Lyme" next in my list. They had "Cure Unknown" at the library too but it looked pretty thick and depressing. Maybe later...

The more I read the more I want to steer away from heavy duty antibiotics non-stop...
sf_mom Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 I was thinking in more general terms: immune support, addressing gut issues, a good nights sleep, importance of detox, read a lot about histamine levels and antibiotic regimen verses only homeopathic route. They all have their variations on antibiotic regimen but most agree they are required. I know our LLMD really watches herxing responses and rotates antibiotics fairly frequently.
