IgG blood test for delayed sensitivities (that don't show up on the IgE immediate reaction skin prick and RAST tests) I consider one prick for the blood draw kinder than the skin prick tests anyway...

 

Be sure that they get lots of water the day of and the day before--it makes a difference!

Also, they have something to numb the skin if you put it on 30 minutes before.

 

The tough part is finding a lab that ships out of state.

Thanks Claire for the info, I have just forwarded the website to my naturopath. What a great amount of things that can be tested! But lots of money as well. Considering my son has such a limited palate, we may stick with the cheaper ( relatively) one she had recommended as a starting point. I was interested in all the chemical/mold etc - but in reality obviously this stuff is bad for EVERYONE. Our biggest question is really the milk and the test she suggested would give us that answer. I am hoping to get it done this week whichever we decide on.

 

My son is tic free this morning - here is hoping for an even better week than last week. Another week on the supplements can only help. We have increased the fish oils again so we are close to the full dose - it seems that the full results of supplements occurs after 12 weeks and we have seen such success at only 3 weeks.

 

 

PS thanks for the tip on the water, and what is it that can numb the skin? Is is something I can buy ahead of time?
