wewillbeatthis,I gave my daughter fish oil for about 8 days and it caused tics.She stopped taking them a little over 2 weeks ago and her tics are just now starting to go away.I think you should give it at least a week to see if it was the fish oil.It does stay with you for awhile.Brenda

Thanks for the replies.The fish oil she was on was free of dyes and flavors.I've read that fish oil can increase dopamine just like ritalin.Tics are from too much dopamine and other chemicals in the brain.The tics are better but still there.Thanks

My daughter (7) developed tics from ritalin.She has ADHD.The tics went away after the ritalin was stopped.She's not had any tics in over a year since she stopped ritalin.I decided to try Natrol Omega-3 Fish oil and now she has a vocal tic.I'm sure it was the fish oil that caused it.I stopped the fish oil over a week ago but the tic is still there but getting better.Anyone know how long will it take for the fish oil to leave her system and the tic to stop completely?Thanks,Brenda
