  1. hello again. I was just wondering if anyone had any contacts in hong kong that specialises in acupuncture which they could recommend me??? Or are there any places you know of within Hong Kong that offers chinese medication or herbs? Also if not Hong Kong, do u know of any contacts or doctors that could be useful for my nephew in Europe???????
  2. Thank you Carolyn and Chemar for the valuable information. Actually i am new to all of this forum thing so i am still working my way around it. I really must stress once again over the kindness of you people giving me advice or any comments, because this sudden news of my nephew having tics has put a strain on everyone in our family. Furthermore, we feel like we dont know what to do since a visit to the doctor was not much of use. He just told us that we should avoid telling my nephew not to blink his eyes and that if matters got worse, he could prescribe medications, which is the last route i think my brother would want to go for. As for my nephew, he actually started developing the symptoms of eye blinking maybe about 1-2 years ago where he was 2-3 yrs old. Then signs of moving his neck and shoulders surfaced within the middle of last year to now. There are no history of TS in the family but his mother's brother does have the signs of blinking his eyes and clearing his throat every now and then. However, he is perfectly fine and has no problem in performing his job at work and seems to appear normal to me. Anyway, I was wondering if this was in any way interrelated???? As in, can this be considered history of TS or tics in the family? My brother is planning to fly over to Hong Kong with his son soon. Since you guys said acupuncture was helpful then i shall tell them of this news. I was wondering, would it be wise to do a fully body check up for my nehpew in Hong Kong before seeking for chinese treatments? As the thought of going directly to chinese treatment, be it herbs or acupuncture, seems a bit unsafe without consulting a doctor first. What do you think??????????????????
  3. Hello there Andy. Thank you for ur suggestion and i will look into it. Unfortunately, he is not livin in Germany but Denmark. Its ok, i'll still have my eyes opened for anything. =)
  4. Hi, my name is Cindy and i have a nephew at the age of 4 who has recently been diagnosed with tourette syndrome. He is not a severe case but his symtoms such as eye blinking and body twitching and aggressive behaviour of kicking and screaming has progressed within this year. He lives in Europe but I think he can receive better treatment in Hong Kong. Does anybody know of any chinese medication or herbs that may be of any help in treating children with TS??????? I have plans of taking him to Hong Kong in having him treated there but i dont know if that would be a good idea. Can anyone give me any suggestions at all since i'm still very new to all of this??? Cindy
