  1. I'm looking at a recent superbill and there is an ICD-9 for unspecified psychosis on it. PANDAS is written at the bottom with no ICD-9 next to it. This is paperwork for submission to insurance for reimbursement. Is this a typical ICD-9 for a kid with PANDAS? Tics are the reason for the doctor visit. Please share your thoughts. Thanks Dave
  2. Can you get this to your OT, and have them share it with the teachers? http://www.nysota.org/node/334 It's a link to the New York OT association report on PANDAS and OT in the school when writing deteriorates. Dave
  3. Who in the So. Cal. area KNOWS PANDAS? If no one, what are my other choices for finding someone who can help with this? I need someone that can write something up for school as well. Thanks Dave
  4. Many of us would appreciate a post such as: Dr. A. (Name/Location/Specialty) Dr. B. etc. Would one of you who knows all of these folks be able to put it all in one post for new users? Thanks Dave
  5. You may want to consider Wart Wonder or Thuja. No burning, blistering, or freezing. You'll want fingertip bandages. Dave
  6. What are the specific names of all of those tests you're talking about? Do you have an example you could email me? Dave
  7. Are you still seeing Dr. Lin??? Dave
  8. 500 mg azithromycin daily for 30 days. This is his 2nd round with a month in-between. Tics resurfaced while no prophylactic dose was being given. Will start nystatin as well.
  9. 500 mg azithromycin daily for 30 days. This is his 2nd round with a month in-between. Tics resurfaced while no maintenance dose was being given. Will start nystatin as well.
  10. Anyone here in So. Cal. that knows PANDAS?
  11. During a 30 day azithromycin course, is your child receiving either a prescription antifungal like Nystatin or an OTC antifungal? Are you giving probiotics as well? Please comment. Thanks Dave
  12. No, he has had EBV, CMP, CBC, HHV6, ASO and AntiDNAse B... what did we miss, and, do we need another blood draw for it?
  13. ASO was 7 Reference Range is <150IU/ml EBV No EBV antibody detected DNASE B Antibody <50 Reference Range <187 U/ml Now here's one I'm not sure what to do with, HHV-6: IgG 2 years ago was 1:320 Reference Range was <1:80 IgG this year is 1:160 Reference Range is <1:10 HOW DO THESE HHV6 TITERS COMPARE, AS THE REFERENCE RANGE IS DIFFERENT? HAS IT INCREASED OR DECREASED? DO WE NEED TO TREAT IT? IgM was <1:40 last time, <1:20 this time ON HHV6. How do the numbers look to you?
  14. My spouse used to have to take time off from work a couple times a year when her tonsils would balloon up. She'd take penicillin for it. She had her tonsils out over a decade ago. -Would these have been strep infections? -Would she still be carrying strep? -What test would parents get to see if they are carriers?
