Thank you so much for your replies. We will look into the quercetin and hopefully that will help with his allergy symptoms. Very interesting, we are noticing an increase in OCD symptoms in our ds related to allergies and antihistamines (allegra). We would like to start allergy shots but are wondering if they will also trigger the immune system and increase OCD symptoms? Has anyone had luck with allergy shots?

I'm new to the group and was wondering if anyone has noticed the use of antihistamines (allegra, zyrtec, etc) exacerbating their child's compulsions/tics? My son was diagnosed last year so this is all pretty new to us still. He was occasionally shrugging his shoulders (compulsion/tic) while on zyrtec so the allergist switched him to allegra. After only 24 hours his compulsions have really increased. We're going to stop the allegra and see if it gets better. Has anyone else had an experience like this? Is there another way to treat their allergies? Thanks!
