  1. I didn't know I could insist on stronger medication... that’s a very good advice, you are right, it does seem to me like its failing or she has been re-infected.... ALL OF YOU have given me very good advice (changing medication, Valerian Root Etc). Based on what I read, I can link the ODD with PANDAS.As for the ODD, we are seeing a social worker and I have great support from her school. That has helped her behaviour her step father said to me last month that the change in her behaviour was unbelievable and he was proud of her (she would laugh at me hysterically when I tried to play wii with her and she got a certificate from the school for Exemplarily good behaviour). I'm very happy about what I have read and I will try to find a PANDA "specialist" (wont be easy where I live) I didnt even know they existed... You guys are GREAT
  2. Thank you it's encouraging
  3. , Apo is written before the amox on the bottle... Her tics came back while on the medication (she is still on it) She has to take 8.5ML 3 times a day. Finding a PANDAS savy doctor wont be easy in my area, but I didnt know they existed. I did read the threads and i did click on a few of the links but I find that hearing about people that are living it is sometime better then reading what a 3rd un-concerned party has to say (life experience beats text book) In reply to your second post (where you stated she might have been re-expose)...OMG, you are right... I'm thinking now that she may have been (I started the throat clearing....but I'm a smoker and I blamed it on that and the cold weather we have been having lately where I live) Thank you so much :-)
  4. Good day to all, My daughter has been diagnosed with TS or Pandas 11 days ago and I don't know what to do. She is 7 years old (will be 8 in 3 weeks). The hospital first though she had TS however, the culture they took in her throat came back positive for a streptococcal infection. She was put on Apo Amoxicilin and was getting better (practically no tics). Last night, her tics came back (they never really disappeared but they were less apparent). Her face, her shoulders, her head all started to “react” again and she started the throat clearing thing (this one had stopped completely)... She is a strait A student even though she has an Oppositional defiant disorder (unless it was a major outburst, it could be controlled, just lots of repeating), she is now afraid to go to school (let’s face it, kids can be cruel) and she is also too tired to go. My poor princess can't sleep. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestion as to what I can do to help her… Will these go away when she finish’s her prescription, is there medication for this, does it sound like PANDAS, could it be something else... I do have an appointment with her family doctor but that not for a while . I’m at a complete lost since I’m at the starting point, Please help me, I’m willing to try anything for her.
