I am new to this board and wanted to get some opinions about a LDN that my DAN doctor thought might help keep my sons Hyper Immune system be more stable. My son has Aspergers and PANDAS and is 7 years old. He never gets sick and we had been working with a DAN doctor for about 1.5 years before we looked into the PANDAS and as far as the titters and and the roller coaster of his moods and functioning we started to treat him for PANDAS. His first Prednisone we just did a 5 day burst and it was amazing for the first time since starting first grade (about 4 months) he sat in his chair and did his work wasn't defiant to the teacher anymore. His handwriting went from non existent to readable it was amazing. He made it through the rest of the year with about a 30% lower functioning than after the Prednisone but as summer hit he was hiding from us and totally complusive about computer and would not play with anyone or have normal conversations. Needless to say this has repeated itself about 3 times since then and after the last Dose of Prednisone (which worked wonders again) my DAN doc wanted to see if LDN would help stabalize his immune system. I know it is used for a lot of different Autoimmune diseases and it helps control the antibodies in the body but I haven't read or heard of PANDAS patients using it and wanted to know if anyone else had any experiences.
