My daughter was recently diagnosed w/ PANDAS. Doc said we should have family members checked if we are carriers of strep. I should have asked him at the time what test that would be. Has anyone done this and can tell me what test this is? Also, if one of us is a carrier, how is that treated?

My daughter just spent 5 days in a psychiatric hospital, diagnosed w/ touretts, OCD and possibly PANDAS. The docs really think it is PANDAS, but will not say for sure until the tests are run again at a later date (the docs have no experience w/ PANDAS). I am looking for a doctor that will know how to treat the PANDAS. I am in South central Pennsylvania and can easily get to a doc in PA, Baltimore, DC or even New York. Any suggestions?
