PLEASE HELP with recommendations on amounts of vitamin and minerals.
We have a 6 year old daughter who just started having tics in July. She is
49 inches and 52lbs.
She started with eye twitches and head shakes and possible throat noises.
We have been to two different neurologists. The second one was more helpful.
However, I'm still unsure on levels of vitamins and minerals she can take.
He said Flinstone vitamins were ok to take and to supplement with fish oil.
However, my daughter has to take liquid form and the fish oil also includes Vitamin A, D, and E. I'm wondering what the maximum amount of these vitamins can she take since these are also included in her multivitamin (flintstone).
I understand from all the reading and posts that she needs magensium supplement and started giving this to her at a rate of about 100 mg a day
through floradix. However, I think she needs the combo one with mag/cal/zinc.
Can someone recommend what they use for this and the amount for her?
Also, what would be the best supplement for her vocal tics which have been almost nonstop for about a week? How much?
Also, what are others using for a multivitamin since I understand from the reading that Flinstone is not a good choice?
Basically, I have information overload and am very confused.
I'm needing information of some kind for the amount of a certain vitamin you shouldn't go over in a day for children.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
