As far as dose goes, I would definitely speak to your doctor before deciding on a dose or increase your child's dose. It's prudent to be cautious even with natural supplements before giving heavy doses. And I don't see any reason why the Inositol couldn't be combined with milk. Have you considered combining it with applesauce or something along those lines? That's a little closer to the fruit juice recommendation, although I really don't think it should be a problem for you.
