My son, age 8, developed tics last summer. It began as a vocal tic, and soon after, he pulled on his lips, then developed an eye twitch, and before they disappeared, it turned into a very disturbing "triple twitch" where he'd scrunch up his whole face, eyes closed, while murmuring. The tics did not disappear until well into the fall.
Summertime again, and I am horrified to discover that last week two of his tics have returned. I am desperately trying to find what triggers these tics.
He has been swimming in a cholrinated pool a lot this month, and last week I began giving him a new vitamin (Flintstones). I am wanting to cease the use of the pool and the Flintstones vitamins, as these are the only two things new that I can think of.
If either the pool or the vitamins are to blame, how soon after cessation should we see results?
