  1. The comment on the cards had me in stitches. You would have to live it to know. A sense of humor helps but is easily lost. Some days I don't know how I am going to get the strength to get up and do it again the next day. Hearing other Moms are dealing with the same issues is a huge comfort. Quite frankly I am sick of the criticism I take for the way my child behaves. It has destroyed many friendships. I am shocked to see how people I thought were good friends just watch from a distance with criticism, act like they wish they could help, but do nothing! They have stopped inviting my family to do anything together and this is when I need them most. TRYING TO FORGIVE.
  2. I'm confused by your reply. New to forum - I was replying to question from Anna on Rituxin. How do I reply to her directly?
  3. Once you have insurance approval, consultation at Georgetown, infusions 4 Thursdays in a row. Many kids have some mild reaction on first infusion so they have to run it very slow. Some itching in her throat. My daughter had to stay overnight for first infusion, so they could run it very slow. She has been sleepy, but feels fine after i fusion #1. Recommend staying at university hotel. We tried to stay in Bethesda - it was inconvenient w/ unexpected hospital stay. Please let me know if I can help in any way
  4. Your post was VERY thorough and helpful. I most appreciated the info on dealing with people close to you - I struggle with this. I'm guessing it has changed some of those relationships forever?
  5. My name is Lisa. My 13 yr old Lauren is a patient of Dr. Latimer. We live in New York. Lauren just had her first infusion of Rituxin yesterday at Georgetown. I would love any updates from parents who have walked in my shoes.
