Thank you for posting this; I am trying to compile something for my 8 yr old DD's teachers for the upcoming school year. It is SO HARD to come up with what to say; you want to give them enough information so that they will have some insight & help, but not so much that they shut down and stop reading... This will help me "edit" and streamline what I write.

I wish I could go, but will be gone that weekend Pittsburgh DEFINITELY needs help with awareness; we have finally found a doctor who "hears" us & is willing to think outside of the box, but it was very, VERY difficult. Many horribly frustrating & disheartening experiences with many doctors & Pediatric Neurologists in the Pittsburgh area. One or two of them were downright insulting to myself and my 8 yr old DD. The "kinder" ones were politely dismissive. I have been meaning to gather my thoughts & post my DD's story/symptoms on this forum, we are still desperately in need of help/input. In the meantime, I have been reading & reading through all of this, have learned SO MUCH, most importantly, that we are not alone...
