  1. Hi, I am new here as well. I related to a lot of what you wrote. I am 57 and my tics have worsened over time. I also hid it from everyone in my life until recently when my meds stopped working. I am also having trouble finding support groups for adults with TS. The focus seems to be mostly on children, and I believe adults have additional issues.
  2. I am a 57-year-old with moderate to some severe tics since I was 8 years old. Somehow, I managed to hide from family, friends, and strangers all these decades until I was in my 30's. Since then, I have tried alternative medicine but to no avail. I have tried all or most of the meds that are known to improve tics, but they all stopped working and gave me long-term side effects. Recently, I had to stop my medication for tics because it no longer was working, and my tics are now out of control. My body and mind are exhausted "fighting" these tics. My doctor told me I am out of options. Is there any alternative medicine or healing that people are aware of for TS? I am especially interested in hearing from adults, as I believe TS gets more ingrained in the body as we age, and other health problems can show up with age that complicate matters. I am interested, for example, in hearing about NAC. Thank you.
