  1. You might consider having testing for MTHFR mutations, which occur in 30-40% of the population, even higher in those with chronic illness. I have 677 and 1298 mutations, and benefit from avoiding folic acid and taking methylfolate, and methyl B12. My body can now bypass my mutations and make its own glutathion.
  2. My only positive IgM band was 41, and I am doing well with Lyme Rx. My LLMD prescribes LDN for kids with PANDAS, with good results. www.ldnscience.org.
  3. Low dose naltrexone has been a wonder drug for me. Pain is no longer a problem. This old drug, used in low dosages, has a very different action than the original intended use. It has anti-inflammatory action, and also helps balance the immune system. It is also used to treat infertility, as is safe in pregnancy. My MD also prescribes LDN for kids with PANDAS The video at www.LDNscinece.org explains its action.

  5. After thyroid and hormonal problems were rules out, my LLMD felt my hair loss was related to parasites, which she feels are common with Lyme, due to a weakened immune system. The most economical treatment is Ivermectin horse paste, which cost me $3. MD can also write a prescription for Ivermectin. I was instructed to take an adult dose of 1/4" of paste, every day for 3 days, and to repeat this for 3 weeks. I was also instructed to buy a tube to spread on my scalp, and let it soak for 15 minutes. Shortly after this treatment I had lots of new hair growth around the edges. I had no side effects with this treatment.
  6. A friend shared this with me, but I don't know the source. My only + IgM was 41, and my Lyme MD considers me positive. I began treatment this spring, 6 years after infection. Western Blot bands: 9 cross-reactive for Borrellia 12 specific for Bb 18 unknown 20 cross-reactive for Borrellia 21 unknown 22 specific for Bb, probably really the 23/25 band 23-25 outer surface protein C (OspC), specific for Bb 28 unknown 30 unknown; probably an outer surface protein; common in European and one California strain 31 outer surface protein A (OspA), specific for Bb 34 outer surface protein B (Osp; specific for Bb 35 specific for Bb 37 specific for Bb 38 cross-reactive for Bb 39 is a major protein of Bb flagellin; specific for Bb 41 flagellin protein of all spirochetes; this is usually the first to appear after a Bb infection and is specific for all Borrellia 45 cross-reactive for all Borellia (sometimes people with Lyme who have this band positive also have the co-infection Ehrlichiosis) 50 cross-reactive for all Borrellia 55 cross-reactive for all Borrellia 57 cross-reactive for all Borrellia 58 unknown but may be a heat-shock Bb protein 60 cross reactive for all Borrellia 66 cross-reactive for all Borrelia, common in all bacteria 83 specific antigen for the Lyme bacterium, probably a cytoplasmic membrane 93 unknown, probably the same protein in band 83, just migrates differently in some patients The IgM tests for a more recent infection, the IgG a longer standing one.
