I wanted to update. The eeg showed this laughter is actually seizures and we had an mri. Taft has a low grade brain tumor in his right frontal lobe. WE met with a neurosurgeon but she can't be certain that the tumor is causing the seizures because of the eeg so they are consulting and will get back to us. thanks!! Steph

We have our neuro appointment wednesday but I can't hlep but find out as much as I can. My four year old has begun having uncontrollable fits of laughter out of nowhere. he started having one or two a day and then last week they sky rocketed one day he had 15. THis is what is happening he a lot of time looses his balance and is in a fit of uncontrollable laughter for no reason on the floor. after about 9 to 15 seconds his stomach begins contracting and he then is saying 'uh uh uh' sometimes he says words but he has very unclear speech to begin with so I can't make it out. Has anyone heard of a tic like this???? He has had tics come and go since he was 2 first it was blinking, then clearing his throat, humming, neck twtich .they stay a few months and then disappear. this one is in week three its the first one that has every been a serious safety issue because he falls 1/2 the time.thanks. steph
