Guest emma Posted January 1, 2005 Report Share Posted January 1, 2005 hi i am a mum off three boys my eldest is 11 and he has all the above... he is on ritalin and has to have a dairy free and egg free diet because off the ibs........his behaviour is irratic and always has been even before the ritalin.... i was woundering if any one can give us any advice on calming him down defore he gets into these outbursts and he always gets violent towards his dad now wam=nting to smash his face in he finds this hard and upsetting.... thanks emma Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Chemar Posted January 6, 2005 Report Share Posted January 6, 2005 Hi Emma you may want to come on over to the TS/tics forum as well as there is a lot of shared knowledge and experience there. My first thought would be to try to get away from ritalin. ritalin and TS just are NOT a good match. It may be helpful for some with just ADHD, but it really has caused problems for evryone I know who tried it and had TS. anyway, that is just my 2c worth. there are many natural ways to help kids with the mix of disorders that your precious little one is dealing with.
